Thankful Heart

It’s Thanksgiving week and I am so excited!  Good food, good friends, and family time is the recipe for an amazing weekend.  I love that there are so many fun family traditions around this time of year.

One of my very favorite traditions is writing anonymous thank-you cards to people who have made a positive impact on my life and delivering them (or doorbell ditching them… haha) to their homes.  It can be someone I talk to often or someone I haven’t talked to in years.  It can be someone I see every day or someone I’ve seen only once.  It doesn’t matter how close I am with them, only that they’ve made a positive difference in my life!

My husband and I started this tradition after getting married and it quickly became my favorite one.  This tradition gives me a thankful heart (the perfect way to prepare for this week) and I hope it brings joy to those who receive the note!

Do you have any favorite traditions?  I’d love to hear about them.  Please comment below and share your fun ideas!

  1. I love our tradition of playing “scum” and other card games with my favorite cousins every “thanksgiving night.” Wether we were together for a thanksgiving feast earlier that day or not we always get to see that one family later that night and it’s too fun!!
